Insurance – please use the new Guide & Incident Report Form   

An updated Insurance Guide 2018/19 and new shorter Incident Report Form are available now, via the Insurance Toolkit. Please use these versions and delete previous versions with immediate effect. The principal changes to the Guide are clarifications on a number of topics including: what categories of incident must be reported, geographic coverage, dogs on walks, how our insurance cover applies to children and coverage for carers on group walks. Some of these clarifications are as a direct result of feedback received from volunteers over the last year – thank you for your valuable input. There are also small additions to the power tools which are now covered for path maintenance activities, and public social media has been added as a recognised promotional channel for group walks.

The Incident Report Form has been reduced from six to two sides, making it quicker and easier to complete. The signature requirements have also been removed as Forms will now be copied to secretaries and there is a new email address – incidents@ramblers.org.uk – for you to use when returning these forms. We hope that you find these documents useful.
